About

I use warmth and unconditional acceptance to create a safe space for you to explore your current challenges, goals and values. I believe therapy should be non-judgmental, accepting and supportive regardless of what is said or done. I take therapy at your pace, where you get to decide on sharing as much or as little as you feel comfortable. I believe you are the expert of your life and I work in collaboration with you to reach your goals. I am here to listen and then to guide you in learning the skills you need to live your best life.

As a trauma survivor, I empathize with the struggles that so many experience to cope with trauma and post-traumatic stress. I know the deep darkness of anxiety and depression. I am now happier and healthier and it is my passion to work alongside you to offer the support and guidance in your healing journey.

Mission

To help you break free from traumas and/or insecurities that may be holding you back from feeling your true authentic self. I am here to empower and serve, while helping you reclaim your identity and autonomy.

Individuals who have experienced trauma may carry a sense of shame in who they are, thus not feeling free to be themselves. I am here to tell you there is nothing wrong with you and there is no shame in exploring who you are or who you want to be!

Philosophy of Life

I believe in the acceptance of every human being no matter our differences. Everyone is special and unique.

Every person has the strength to overcome tragedy and live a purposeful and fulfilling life.

A strong stance against shaming others for who they are, specifically marginalized communities.

Everyone is inherently enough, our worth is innate, we can never be anything less than enough.

I believe in the importance of breaking free from thoughts, emotions and beliefs impacting our sense of inner peace and happiness.

Approach to Therapy

My primary approach to healing trauma is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain safely reprocess difficult memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming or distressing. EMDR can support lasting emotional relief while allowing you to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

In addition to EMDR, I integrate somatic-based practices, including gentle yoga and mindfulness techniques, when appropriate. Trauma is not only stored in our thoughts and emotions, but also in the body and nervous system. By incorporating body-based awareness and movement, clients often experience a deeper sense of calm, grounding, and connection to themselves throughout the healing process.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and paced to your comfort level. You remain in control of your healing journey, and together we create a safe space where both mind and body can begin to feel more regulated, supported, and empowered.
